FRIDAY FACTS
October 3, 2008

Here we are at the beginning of another month. Fall is showing as the trees change their colors and temperatures drop. Though the seasons’ change we can always be assured that God does not change. His love for His children is never ending.

I would like to thank Miss Stark and the concert band for their uplifting performance on Sabbath. We are blessed to have young people so willing to use their talents to bring others closer to God.

The Home and School is collecting Box Tops for Education. Please continue to encourage your friends, relatives, and neighbors to save them. Each classroom has a container to place the Box Tops in. It is a great way to earn money for our school. Thank you to all Home and School members for everything you do to make BCA a better place.

First and Second graders have been studying heroes. These heroes include biblical, historical, and current. One day, students even dressed up as one of their heroes. As each person explained who they were dressed like they also had to present at least two reasons why their hero was worthy to be called a hero. The class spent time studying about the best hero ever, and that is Jesus. This is such a wonderful way for students to discern worthy characteristics to follow.

Just a quick reminder that after school when you pick up your children please make sure they stay with you. Students should not be roaming the building or playing on the playground without adult supervision.

The Youth Rally participants will be leaving BCA at 8:15 AM Sabbath morning (October 4). Students should bring a change of clothes. Food will be provided. The group plans to be back by 8:00 PM. For additional questions please contact Gwen Baker.

We are so blessed to have a wonderful PE program. Part of the program includes sharing information with parents on health related topics. Mr. Knowles will be including this information in the Friday Facts from time to time. This week’s thought is as following: According to the American Dietetic Association, children who eat a healthy breakfast are more likely to have better concentration, problem-solving skills and eye-hand coordination. They may also be more alert, creative and less likely to miss days of school.
