FRIDAY FACTS

BCA’s Weekly Newsletter
October 26, 2007
Dear Friends,

We had an exciting week beginning with the Picnic and Pops last Saturday night. Our thanks to all of you who came and supported the band as they raised $1,400! Their tour this year has not been determined but as soon as we find out I will pass it on to you. As mentioned at the concert Miss Stark was directing with a heavy heart as her grandmother passed away last week so keep her family in prayer as they deal with their loss.

Mrs. Boehmer asked me to thank everyone for making the cookie dough fundraiser such a success. Not only did the ordering go well but the pick up went smoothly too. Mrs. Fogg and Mrs. Hall deserve a pat on the back as they carried a big share of the load which ultimately benefits our children. They would also like to remind you to turn in your box tops for education ASAP as they must be counted by the end of the month to receive credit.

This week’s calendar…
Sabbath – Horns to Urbandale
Monday – No school for elementary or high school due to teacher in-service in Lansing and city water line repair.
Wednesday – Alternative Halloween activity by the witnessing class from 3:15 – 4:45 in Mrs. Velez’s room
Friday/Sabbath – Witnessing class to Grand Rapids

As most of you know there is a MRSA scare going about our Nation. Over the years we have been aware of many such alarms which we generally ignore. However since our local community has had a case reported I am attaching a fact sheet to the back of this document to assist you in understanding what procedures one can take to increase personal protection. Additional information can be obtained through the Calhoun County Health Department @ 969-6341.

Congratulations to Madelyn Agy for being selected as the CalhounCounty fire safety poster contest winner! She enjoyed lunch with the Chief, a ride on the fire truck and slid down the fire pole at the local fire department.

Something has been on my mind for a few weeks and I have been looking for an opportunity to share it in print... Many of you have been coming to our annual constituency meeting and have had the privilege of seeing how the Lord has been working. At the most recent meeting Mr. Wilson ended with a prayer by saying, “ Thank you Father for providing beyond our needs”. It is true the Lord has given us much more than we anticipated, another revelation of His Character. For those who are facing uncertainty or difficulties look no further than 480 Parkway Dr., then rest in the assurance and evidence that the Lord is in charge.

Miss Stark is taking the horn ensemble to the Urbandale church this week to play for services, come and join them if you’re not committed elsewhere and enjoy worshiping with us.

Have a great Sabbath!

Mr. Kossick, Principal
