Spiritual Excellence

Journey to Excellence
That every student will surrender their whole life to God, develop a relationship with Jesus Christ, and allow the Holy Spirit to work in their life is the core objective of nurturing the complete student in Christ. Battle Creek Academy creates the environment where the student can connect with God in both intimate and practical ways. The varied ways in which we seek to accomplish this include:
- Teachers’ modeling, personal testimonies, and praying for and with students.
- Firm but compassionate discipline and discipling of the heart.
- Direct age-appropriate instruction in Bible-based doctrine.
- Unselfish Christ-like service to the church and community.
- Initiatives for students to support a number of global missions.
- Content area instruction steeped within a Biblical worldview.
- Regular chapel worships are led by teachers, students and guests.
- Spiritual object lessons drawn from nature and outdoor education.
- Classroom-initiated Bible labs projects. Student-driven literature evangelism.
- Biannual elementary and high school Weeks of Prayer.
- Student involvement in the evangelistic efforts of the church community.
- Local church attendance, participation, presentations and programs.
- Mission trips.
- Student-driven campus ministry initiatives.
- An annual special week of spiritual emphasis and service.
- Bible Camp and Lifestyle Improvement For Teens (LIFT) camp for spiritual renewal and commitment.
We intend for every student to have multiple opportunities to make a choice for an eternity with Jesus.
