Band Performances
There are several yearend performances to look forward to but before we take a look at those I wanted to share a bit about our past performances. The Concert Band recently returned from a successful Michigan/Ohio tour. They delighted audiences in Gobles, Grand Rapids, Lansing, Ann Arbor, Detroit and Toledo. As a director my favorite part of tour is watching the group work together to get things set up or torn down and packed. This year’s group of students worked together very well and was outstanding! At the end of our concerts we were frequently asked to come back soon!
We know our band plays well, and we’re appreciative of those types of comments, but what means the most to us is when listeners are brought to tears of joy when listening and exclaiming that they saw and heard a little of heaven through our music. Congratulations, Concert Band! You represented your school, community, families, and your God very well! A special thank you to our dedicated boosters and to those “extra” parents that come along to help things run smoothly. On to next year…and hopefully BOSTON!!
Performance Reminders
- MAY 8 Concert Band; Community Prayer Breakfast. Call time 6:00 AM (BCA Parking Lot); Performance at 7 AM. Formal band uniform
- MAY 10 ALL bands Srping Concert. BCA Gym. Call time 6:30 PM; concert at 7. Formal band uniforms.
- MAY 12 Concert Band at Urbandale SDA Church. Call time at 10 am. Potluck required for band members; then we will be bussed to the Delton Community Park for a 4:00 concert in the park. Formal band uniform.
- MAY 17 K-4 Spring Musical. The Revolt of the Foolish Molar. Call time for students is 6:30 PM; performance at 7 PM. Costumes as assigned.
- MAY 21-29 Graduation Band (Grades 7-10). Rehearsal schedule and performance TBA.
Campus Ministries Event (May 11)
Friday May 11, 2012 from 4:30 -9:00 there will be a Campus Ministries event. It is being held at the Street's house. 8th - 12th Grade students are invited.
