To nurture the complete student in Christ, Battle Creek Academy has carefully selected mentors who have a passion for bringing out the best in each elementary school child. With both small class sizes and teacher-student ratios, our church- and state-certified teachers deliver instruction with compassion and skill in a family-oriented environment of nurture.

Each young scholar receives instruction in core areas, as well as those that would afford further rounded development. It is not uncommon for our students to score above grade level on the National Standardized Testing index. However, it is how these content areas are taught that is truly exciting:

      • A spirit of cooperation pervades our safe classroom environments.
      • Relevant field trips provide real-world experiences.
      • Students are connected to their community via local presenters and community resources.
      • Projects and portfolios offer authentic assessment of learning.

      • Apart from having computers in each classroom and a computer lab dedicated for elementary school use, technology is integrated across the subject areas wherever it is of benefit to our students.
      • Our small school size enables us to quickly implement any initiative that can address student needs.
      • Liaison with the local public school district affords resource personnel for special needs students.
      • The K-12 structure of the school allows for a continuum of care as students transition to the high school.
      • Creative initiatives are enacted to encourage self-regulated and life-long learning.
      • Both the Bible and research-based strategies form the basis for how we approach teaching and learning.
