In today’s world, who isn’t looking to save a little money! Battle Creek Academy has two programs that are designed to help parents earn cash to go on their school bill. But the good news is that ANYONE can be part of the program to help a student in need.
The first program is called SCRIP, and it’s a program that helps students while you shop. Through the SCRIP program, you purchase gift cards from national and local retailers that are the same gift cards that you buy at the store. These gift cards can be used in place of cash, checks, and credit cards and are available to use at many popular retailers, including JCPenney, Kohls, Macy’s, Menards, Target, Walgreens, Walmart, The Gap, Shell, Pizza Hut and literally hundreds of others. You’re probably asking yourself how these stores help our students. It’s simple – SCRIP participating retailers agree to sell gift cards to our organization at a discount. Our alumni, friends and parents, like you, buy the cards for full face value, redeem them for face value, and our school keeps the discount as revenue.
SCRIP is exciting, because everybody wins. Just by using SCRIP to pay for your normal weekly purchases, you can easily raise $500 or more per year for a student who needs assistance with their tuition. If you don’t have a student you would like to apply the credit to, simply contact Jacquelyn Khoe in the Development office, pick a student who is in need of assistance, and when you place your SCRIP order designate which student(s) you would like your credit to go to.

The beauty of SCRIP is that you put your regular household shopping dollars to work. You earn money for our students without spending a single additional penny! Just spend your regular shopping dollars with SCRIP at the stores that participate in the SCRIP program.

If you reside in Battle Creek or surrounding towns, you can place your order online or drop off your order at Battle Creek Academy on Thursdays for pickup at the Academy the following Thursday. Order forms are available in the school office.
By simply planning ahead with your everyday purchases like groceries, gas, restaurants, clothes, entertainment and home repair, an average family can earn at least $11 a week. That modest number adds up quickly – over $500 a year for an average family is not unusual. And the best part is – it could help a student receive a Christian education at Battle Creek Academy.
